Drive Safely: Golf Carts & Other Alternative Vehicles

Alternative vehicles have unique qualities and limitations, both practical and legal. The alternative vehicle policy establishes guidelines for: 

• The legal and safe use of such vehicles while operating on university property, campus streets, city-owned, and state-owned roadways. 
• Training operators (drivers).
• Enforcement of operation. 
• Accident reporting.
• Minimum vehicle qualifications prior to purchase or acquisition. 

This course meets the training requirements as outlined in the policy.

The completion certificate is valid for 3 years. 

• Audience: UTK Undergraduate Students and Non-employee Sponsored Friends of the University.
